“Aloha! Thank you for visiting my creative space.
I’m Amita Aung-Thwin, and I’m excited to share my creative journey with you. My art is born from those magical moments when color, texture, and movement align, sparking a sense of creative magic and inviting you to connect with your own muse. Each piece captures a part of that journey, whether it’s the calm of a quiet beginning, the excitement of discovery, or the freedom of simply letting go.
I believe creativity isn’t just for artists; it’s a part of all of us. We each create in our own unique ways—whether through art, ideas, or even the way we see the world. Think of this space as a place to reconnect with your own creativity, to wander through colors and textures, and perhaps even find your muse reflected in each piece. Art has a special way of awakening inspiration, stirring up new perspectives, and bringing a bit of the mystical into everyday life.
This holiday season, I’m celebrating with special pricing on originals and prints for my Blue Dreams and Luxury Collections —a heartfelt way to share my gratitude for this journey and to invite a bit of creative magic into your space. Thank you for being here. I hope my art inspires you to explore your own creativity, however you express.
Amita Aung-Thwin is a contemporary abstract painter from Honolulu, Hawaii.
Her love affair with the arts started as a child, where she spent hours drawing, painting, and creative writing. Over the years, her focus shifted away from creative pursuits. However, in 2013 she experienced a shift and re-discovered her love for art after she started practicing yoga. As her yoga practice deepened, she felt led to explore her creativity and spirituality. In 2018, she started exhibiting and going deeper into her art practice.
Her artwork has been shown in exhibitions in the Nationally and Internationally, including, “Sangam” the exhibition from her 2019 residency in Rishikesh, India. Nationally, she has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions in California and Hawaii, and in the online space. Currently she has collectors located in Hawaii, California, Las Vegas, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Singapore, and India.
